Our classes are taught in person, virtually, or through the digital platform of your choice. We’ll engage the students (in groups of 30 or fewer) with discussions and activities to build better digital habits. We offer:

Elementary Courses – best suited for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade

Secondary Courses – best suited for students in the 7th through 12th grades

Parenting Classes – teaching about the 3M’s of digital parenting (model/monitor/manage)

We do not do assemblies or give you a self-paced curriculum.

About Our Customizable Curriculum

Digital Respons-Ability has a curriculum for Elementary and Secondary students, tailored towards each grade level.

Each course is usually taught in a block of around 45 minutes, depending on your school’s schedule and the age of the students.

We are happy to work around your specific needs, but we do like to keep the class sizes to around 30 as that allows for more interaction among students and trainers.

Explore The Curriculum Modules

This is the content we can cover in your classroom. Click on the arrow to learn more about each module or download the Module Overview here.

Elementary Modules

The computational thinking module teaches students about basic coding concepts and algorithms. They learn how computers think and how technology affects our daily life.

In this module, students will learn that it’s essential to ask for permission to use the internet, what to do if something inappropriate pops up, and what it means to do the right thing online.

This module will help students understand fake news and how to fact-check. They will also understand how media and communications work using the Who, What, When, and Where method.

For the digital wellness module, students will learn about finding a healthy balance between technology and other parts of their lives. They will also learn how to make their own digital SMART goals.

Students will learn about social media and online discussion. They will learn about appropriate peer-to-peer communication usage and model their newfound knowledge.

Students will understand the benefits and positives of technology. They will review the basics of digital etiquette (Netiquette) and learn what it takes to become a digital citizen.

Secondary Modules

The internet is all around us, but do we really understand how it works? In this module, students will be learning about the history of technology and the internet. They will also learn about bias and how to use critical thinking when evaluating information online.

In this module, students will begin to understand how our personal data interacts with the digital space. They will also think critically about where and how to digitally communicate with different audiences.

In this module, students will learn about using internet content wisely and keeping their data safe. They will also understand the basics of digital law, including copyright and what can and can’t be shared online.

This module will teach students how the internet can be used for good. Whether it is creating new content or helping to cure cancer, everyone connected to the web can make the world a better place. Students will understand how the internet helps them become good, and global, digital citizens.

Figuring out money can be scary and confusing. As a result, the majority of Americans avoid budgeting. In this module, students will learn some of the skills they need to make smart financial choices. They will also learn about some digital finance tools and online financial scams to avoid.

Technology is a great tool, but it can take up time, energy, and sleep. Social media is a great way to connect but can also cause feelings of loneliness. In this module, students learn about using those online tools in healthier ways.

What type of person do you want to be online? What do you want others to think of you? This module will help students learn how to use their online time responsibly and teach them to set goals for digital use.

Technology has changed how we find colleges, apply for scholarships and apply for jobs. This module will teach students how to find grants, scholarships, a college, and a job. It will also help them better understand how their digital footprint and digital identity can be perceived by others.
