Digital Respos-Ability is working with New Mexico’s Public Education Department to provide professional development in digital citizenship to their educators across the state.

Explore Our Digital Citizenship Courses for Educators in New Mexico

Through the Google Kids Initiative, Digital Respons-Ability will support outcomes that align with the state’s commitment to promote digital equity for NM students and foster digital citizenship practices that ensure:

  • The safe, ethical, responsible and informed use of technology.
  • A range of skills and literacies including internet safety, media literacy, privacy, and security.
  • Recognition and reporting of cyberbullying by educators.

As a content provider, Digital Respons-Ability will provide digital citizenship training to educators across New Mexico. In person and virtual trainings will be provided to educators in the state, supporting the implementation of professional development for educators statewide on essential skills and knowledge regarding data privacy, digital citizenship and creating students who are informed lifelong consumers of digital information. 

Coming soon! Our Cybersecurity for Teachers program will be available later in 2025 for educators in the state.

*Digital Respons-Ability is physically based in the state of Utah. They are providing a limited amount of in-person classes in New Mexico with the rest being provided virtually.

Three Ways to Learn

Are you an educator in New Mexico? Scheduling your in-person or virtual training in digital citizenship is easy! Just choose from the options below:

In-Person

A limited number of professional development live courses are available each year. Contact John Chadwick with NM PED for more details.

Virtual & Self-Paced

Starting in fall semester 2024, you can take the Respons-Able Educator Certificate Course at your own pace. Each semester opens up new modules.

03

Virtual & In-Group

Join a group of your peers in New Mexico in a mentor-led, virtual cohort. You’ll dive in deeper on the course with additional online supports.

Please note: since we are a free service for schools in New Mexico, we typically book 3 to 6 months in advance.
